Social Paddle Camping Weekend
Habitat Noosa
16-08-2019 6:00 PM – 18-08-2019 10:00 AM
Something different - A weekend away at the Noosa Everglades We are planing to arrive on Friday afternoon / evening at https://www.habitatnoosa.com.au/. There are camping and glamping options available. Saturday morning we will have a 20 min drive to Harry's Hut camping ground (and day-use area), travelling on unsealed roads for around 20km. The road is in reasonable conditions and, when drier, would be able to be accessed by 2WD with due care. (We can do car sharing with the 4x4). After launching the SUPs the adventure begins and we discover the spectacular Everglades to see what the day brings. We are sure it's going to be a fun and action filled day. Who wants to stay for one more night to Sunday, can join us in the evening for dinner and drinks at the local pub. Follow us on Facebook for updates!  Here is the plan for our camping weekend at Noosa. Friday night: Arrival, organise your own dinner. Meet at Paul's brazier for snacks and drinks (BYO / share) Saturday morning: Do your own breakfast (bistro opens at 8) 8:30 am leave by car (4WD) to Harry's Hut. Paddle from there for some 3 hrs. BYO water. Refreshments will be provided after the paddle at Harry's Hut picnic ground. Return to Habitat Noosa. Saturday night:  6 pm dinner at the CootharaBar, onsite. Need to confirm numbers to book a table. Sunday morning:  Do your own breakfast and check out Optional Sunday lunch at the Appolonian Hotel (8 mins drive). They're famous for their spit roast on Sundays, but also have a-la-carte meals. Please message Ilka you are joining us Saturday night at the CootharaBar so that we can book a table by Thursday afternoon. Pease organise your own accommodation - tent, glamping, swag... site shares are available too.
